Information about our log house
The 14-16 inch Engleman spruce logs originated in the interior of
British Columbia and were hand-peeled in Chilliwack, B.C. by local
First Nations craftsmen using drawknives. The logs were hand-scribed
(to fit closely together using the Swedish cope system) and assembled
in Chilliwack before being shipped to Leavenworth, where they were
re-assembled. Supporting the house is a 25-ft tall gnarled red cedar
log. Large yellow cedar logs accent each side of the outside entry and
the interior foyer.
